Since 1992, Arthur has brought his passion, leadership, and expertise to Shope Reno Wharton. He received his undergraduate architecture degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After apprenticing with prestigious firms in Philadelphia and New York, Arthur joined Shope Reno Wharton and became a partner in 1996. He is NCARB accredited and holds architectural licenses in multiple states. Arthur’s avocation outside of the office is sailing and any water-related activity. He notes, “Observing waterfront residences while cruising along the eastern shoreline has crystallized for me what makes for a memorable home—classic shapes, great proportions and the ability to gracefully weather both the elements and fleeting stylistic trends. These principles apply to all of our projects from the coast of Rhode Island to the mountainous terrain of Aspen. Our practice strives to design beautiful, functional structures that will be cherished for generations.”
