Originally from Prince Edward Island, Don earned his architectural degree from the Technical University of Nova Scotia (now Dalhousie University). Upon completion he was awarded the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Student Medal. Prior to joining SRW in 1997, Don traveled extensively in Europe and Scandinavia to study residential housing and worked for architectural firms in Oslo, Halifax, Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles. He became a principal at SRW in 2006 and holds professional licenses in New York and California. Although passionate about residential design, Don has also worked on large institutional and equestrian facilities. Don enjoys the challenges that each new project presents and together with his partners endeavors to make thoughtful, memorable places that respond to every client’s needs and to each unique site. Outside the firm, Don enjoys traveling and photography.
